If you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll collect your first name and email address for that purpose only.

2. Comments

If you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

If you use Gravatar, an anonymized string created from your email may be provided to the Gravatar service to check for an associated avatar. Their policy is here: Gravatar Privacy Policy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public next to your comment.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to improve your experience. Here’s what they do:

If you leave a comment, you can opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies. These last for one year.
When visiting the login page, a temporary cookie checks if your browser accepts cookies (deleted when you close your browser).
Logging in sets cookies for your login status and screen preferences. These expire after 2 days to 1 year depending on settings.
Editing or publishing an article sets a cookie noting the post ID—this expires after 1 day.

If anyone under 18 accesses this content, they should review it with a trusted adult before using or trying any remedies. No content on this site is created specifically for children.

We do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools (like Google Analytics), but may explore those options later. If we do, this policy will be updated before anything is activated.
